What does more investment in the Global Fund mean for women around the world?

Every US$ 100 million-dollar investment in the Global Fund means:

  • 20,000 additional women on treatment to prevent passing HIV to their babies.
  • 5.3 million additional mosquito nets could be distributed and protect first-time mothers, families and young children.
  • save 114,000 lives through programs supported by the Global Fund.
  • Avert 1.7 million new infections or cases across the three diseases.

More investment means saving more lives.  #WD2019  #GetBackonTrack  #StepUptheFight   https://www.globalfundadvocatesnetwork.org/wp-content/uploads/2019/04/An-Extraordinary-Investment-final.pdf

Clara’s Story –   http://youtu.be/YVe5r-1ePBU

“I am the living example of what the Global Fund has achieved over the years.” Still, she warns that donors need to keep investing in the Global Fund because “there is an opportunity that we can end this epidemic.”

Erica’s Story – http://youtu.be/aVc8NV6ylO8

“The Global Fund not only saved my life – it empowered me to fight for the rights of all women whose voices are overshadowed.”

Loyce’s Story – http://youtu.be/h03nc6xz1fg  and her photo story: https://www.globalfundadvocatesnetwork.org/campaigns/we-need-the-global-fund-loyces-story/

Loyce thanks the Global Fund for saving her life. Now, with her good health, she can take on life’s challenges, but she asks donors to continue to support the Global Fund as “this will help in saving lives of people like me”.

Mirriam’s Story – https://www.globalfundadvocatesnetwork.org/photo-story-mirriam-banda-chisamba-zambia/

Mirriam sees malaria every day at the clinic. In her region, between 20-29% of children under 5 are infected each year.
