The Global Fund has a history of doing extraordinary work: few investments have had the impact that the Global Fund has in saving lives, preventing infections, and creating strong and resilient health systems. We are at a critical moment where the minimum will not be enough to prevent us from sliding back. We must get back on track and end the epidemics.
For GFAN members’ and partners’ 6th Replenishment campaigning, we have produced several picture and video stories featuring members of our GFAN Speakers Bureau.
Each of them, either through video or photo, have shared their personal experiences about how Global Fund investments in HIV, tuberculosis, and malaria programs have impacted their life, their families, and their communities – these are the lives being saved by the Global Fund.
Their message is clear: To Get Back on Track We Must Step Up the Fight!
We encourage anyone interested in advocating for the Global Fund to use these multimedia tools for your online and in-person campaigning – they are free for everyone.

Anton Basenko, Ukraine - Global Fund Beneficiary

MIRRIAM BANDA CHISAMBA (ZAMBIA)
Mirriam sees malaria every day at the clinic. In her region, between 20-29% of children under 5 are infected each year. Mosquito nets, rapid diagnostic tests and preventative treatment are provided by the Global Fund. The Global Fund’s support has also helped to improve and expand health services to rural centres like Mirriam’s with the results of reducing infections and death, including for tuberculosis and HIV.

Serge Douomong Yotta, Cameroon
Une reconstitution fructueuse du Fonds mondial en 2019 est nécessaire pour commencer à combler les lacunes en ce qui concerne les populations hautement vulnérables.
Serge’s commitment to fighting HIV and AIDS began when he noticed a wave of deaths amongst friends. Serge thanks the Global Fund for his continued health and his ability to feel protected and free, especially in an environment where homosexuality is strongly condemned.
